## IV Equal & opposite
If I propose something, say P, immediately, we can imagine its opposite, ~P, or not-P.
P = the sky is blue -> the sky is not blue = -P
Q = Life is hard -> Life is easy = -P
R = I love you -> I hate you = -P
By the Principle of Balance, the complimentary opposite is created. Therefore by creating X ~X, its opposite, its reflection, occurs. I suppose a simplification of this Principle on a local level is that “energy is neither created nor destroyed”. No matter what occurs locally, the original state of perfect Balance is maintained — whenever something is created, its equal and opposite manifests with it. For every particle, there exists an anti-particle.
Think of it in terms of the Biblical creation story. Adam is created “both male and female”, and then later is split into actual male and female.
Equals
Upon X coming into creation, ~X emerges as well at the same instant. Which is actually the real meaning of ‘=’, equals. “X op Y”, is an expression of X and Y’s relationship. “XopY” expresses a relationship, ‘op’, between any two positions or elements X and Y.
Equal expresses a complete identification with, absolute equality. This is an idealisation. In our real world, the world of action, Assiyah, nothing can truly be equal to anything else. For were it equal, identical, in Malchut, reality, it would be the same thing and there would be no distinction. Only in Atzilut, the highest realm, of emanation, we encounter the contradiction of everything being the same, yet different.
In fact, it can only be equal if it actually IS the other thing, yet it is obviously a different aspect of that actual thing. When I say f(x) = y, I am equating two different scenarios. This is an example of the “other” that is created.
Inner and Outer
Every shape has an inner (positive) version and an outer (negative) one.
For instance the triangle has both an inner triangle, and an outer one. Why is this a positive and a negative? Well, if we think from the perspective of the triangle, then everything inside the triangle is part of the triangle, and everything outside of triangle is not of triangle, yet is necessary for its very existence.

Between any two points of existence, a and b, we can trace the “line” or space/time vector between them. This gap makes up our “consciousness” — for we are only able to realise that something has occurred after it has transpired — never before.
Positive and Negative
#point
As the Point took shape, in order to maintain the perfect balance, the non-Point emerged. Thus we find that, at its most basic level, every point has three aspects: the point itself; it’s “shadow”, or non-point; and their influence upon one another. . The last aspect is shown due to the fact that the “shape”, the topology, of the non-point will be defined by the shape of the point it has given birth to.
And, according to the concept of non-locality, any movement or change in the point, will be mirrored by its partner, the non-point.
As a shadow will be different according to the shape of the object (and the angle of the light), so will the non-point change. We have expressed this as negative numbers.
[!NOTE]
To live in the negative (debt) is to live in the shadow. To live in guilt is another way of living in the negative. To live in gratitude is to live in the positive
Negative vs. positive dynamics
[!important]
In the spiritual realm, like attracts and opposites repulse
In the material realm, opposites attract and like repulses.
This is also what enables the two realms to “seem different”.
This is the way it needs to be otherwise everything will end up in a big clump. Imagine if the material behaved in a similar manner to the spiritual, it will produce a stasis, as eventually all the positive will lump together, and all the negative will lump together separately, with no “attraction” between them. Nothing can be formed, as there will be no interplay between the positive and its opposite.
Both these dynamics will produce chains, from which the molecules of life can emerge. In the case of opposites, each chain will have a negative and a positive end, with the inside being fairly neutral. Whereas in the case of similars attracting, both ends will be either positive or negative, producing two separate types of chains that will not connect easily.

רצון התוב ורצון הרא — The good impulse and the bad
#neshama #math
Here ‘+’ is the expansive (positive or light) side, and ‘–’ is the contractive (negative, dark or shadow) side. We could also think of it as ‘I’, and ‘–I’, where ‘I’ represents the external, or positive, individuation, and the ‘–I’ the internal, or negative, individuation.
Becoming esoteric, two wrongs cancel one another out, but do not make it right! In fact, to express it more humanely, we could say that when in error, you need another asymmetry, something unexpected, to correct the journey, by countering the first. It is only through the negation of the negative that we can find the positive. This is the principle of non-rationality.
The concept of sin (chet) in Judaism is described as missing the mark. Something that requires constant readjustment and practice till the target can be attained with some degree of accuracy.
If we apply force, that is intention. With clear intention and energy, we can transform this error, and return it to the service of HaShem. It seems that the only way to extricate oneself from a bad situation is to embrace it so completely that you emerge from whatever it is. You accept (or submit) to the challenge, and instead of despairing and feeding the dark, you “acknowledge” it, and thus transform it. For is the dark just the light that we refuse to acknowledge?
What often happens is we forget our original goal. That is why we need to access the timeless and non-spacial place in us. For the only way something can remain in time, in the hear & now, is if it has a timeless element in it. Remember our original goal, our primordial purpose is to serve the Creator – the Source of Creation – which is the most difficult task we face. And much of our darkness comes from not acknowledging His Light.
Another dynamic has now entered – to experience the Divine. When I have an experience of the Divine, being a part of the infinite source, I experience myself in harmony with the Divine. The reverberations of this moment of Grace last forever.
This comes from the fact that one can, for instance, only speak to the heart with one’s own heart. So, in order to be able to connect with the Divine, there has to be some part of you that is Divine too.
And how can I experience the Divine if I do not have the Light of the Divine in me as well? Thus, if I start off denying the existence of that Light, how could I ever experience it?
