Expansion and Contractions

Description:

All movement, in fact, life itself, is an expression of the duality

The Breath of the Universe

We speak of force and form as the two pillars of the Tree, however, I prefer to refer to them as expansion and contraction, expressed in the material realm as linear versus angular or rotational momentum.

For the Infinite Being of Creation, initially all that was needed was these two effects. How can the Infinite expand, one may ask? Well, as explained by our Holy sage, the Ari, who began with the Tzimtzum, the “initial” contraction. After which, must come the expansion – due to the perfection of the Creator Being – to balance the contraction. Think of it as a form of inhalation and exhalation—the Breath of the Universe.

Expansion

Let us assume the universe is going through a process of expansion and contraction, a cycle of birth and death, something like the Inflation Theory of the Universe.

Focusing on the expansion, the birth of this universe, it is believed that it started off from a single point, the “Big Bang”, as it is called. There is a more expansive version of this idea that speaks of many, possibly simultaneous, points of emergence. And that brings in the possibility of multiple, possible infinite, points of emergence and contraction, birth and death.

There are two ways to encounter another dimension. One is through expansion from a single point—from 1 to \infty and the other is restrictiction from the single point to nothing, from 1 to true zero, or nothingness.
