First the desire. The need
For what I do not have.
The irksome, shadow angel
that chews at the core of
my being. Desire to know
the unknown — the unseen,
because unlooked for, but
heard, half-heard between
two waves of the sea.
Then the constant constraint,
requiring the crossing over,
lost in the wilderness.
When in bondage, all you desire
is freedom – which is life without
bondage. When in a life that is
free, and has no apparent bonds,
there exists all this space to create….
Yet all I desire is connection, the very constraints
that bind us to one another.
